Orlando Florida native Steve Eunice began playing clarinet in junior high school, later switching to saxophone.   During High School, Steve acheived first chair of the sax section.  During this period, Steve was also introduced to the music of multi-instrumentalist Bud Shank, and began the time-honored tradition of learning from records of the jazz masters.

Steve later graduated from the University of Central Florida where he received a degree in Music Education.  At UCF he studied with Dr. Gerald Walker, and has also studied flute with Alexia Jowers and Nora Lee Garcia.  Over the last 20 years, Steve has performed with various groups around Central Florida.  He also performs as a self-contained sax and flute soloist,  with backing tracks.  Steve's also active as a woodwind player in the Orchestra of the First Baptist Church of Orlando.    Back to Meet the Musicians
